Because Cherish Desire uses services from multiple web platforms including YouTube.com, Storenvy.com, Bandcamp.com, Squarespace.com, MailerLite.com, Facebook.com, Instagram.com, FetLife.com, and Google.com, some services provided by Cherish Desire via third parties are subject to any additional posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services.
By using Cherish Desire sites, you consent to the collection and use of your information by us in accordance with our guidelines set forth below.
What information do we collect
We collect information when you register on our sites, place a direct order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, or comment on our content.
The data actually stored by Cherish Desire may vary depending on whether you are interacting with our sites or with third party sites and platforms. When ordering or registering on our sites, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, email address, city, region, country, or birth date. Email address is the only required field.
Optional information concerning preferences of digital product formats, eReaders devices, retailers, and social media may be asked so we can better serve our customers.
Cherish Desire does not request nor collect payment or financial information. Our retailer partners handle all financial transactions with customers.
You may visit our sites anonymously without registering unless the third party platform provider requires registration for adult verification. In those circumstances, you are registering with the third party, and Cherish Desire does not receive nor collect information from those registrations.
What do we use your information for
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

How do we store your data
We rely on the authenticated security of our third party web services platform providers who store the limited data we collect. Onsite backups are encrypted and archived with restricted local access.
Data we collect is maintained until a customer requests removal or the customer is deemed inactive. Third parties and retailers may have different policies for the data they collect.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
When you visit our websites, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology. The third party platforms and retailers which host and sell Cherish Desire content may implement their own cookies.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Referenced conditions: Evidence of abuse, fraud, harm, criminal activities, hacking, ill intent, and violations of access and privileges may be preserved and retained. Copies of data can only be provided with validation of requester’s identity. Third party data which is not accessible nor maintained by Cherish Desire requires requests be sent direct to the third party platform.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
